Teen dies in van collision with farming equipment on Denton County road
A 19-year-old woman in a Dodge Caravan was killed Monday night when her van crashed into farming equipment being pulled by a tractor on a farm road in Denton County, police said Wednesday.
No other injuries were reported in the crash, which occurred about 10:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of Farm Road 407.
The teen was identified as Alexandra Perkins, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's website on Wednesday. She died at the scene from multiple injuries and her death was ruled an accident, according to a ruling by the medical examiner's office. Perkins was driving a 2002 Dodge Caravan eastbound on the farm road while a 61-year-old Justin man was driving a tractor pulling farming equipment in the westbound lanes, police said.
Alcohol is not considered a factor in the collision, police said. The Justin man voluntarily submitted to testing, police said.
